Aditya, Congrats ! Why don't you throw in the concept of independent travel by the 'tourists' [or tourers?]. Since, the transportation network to these rural areas are non-existent during weekends, why don't you add you concept of motorcycle rentals? Cheap, efficient, explore at your own pace !

Also, the weather is 'pleasant', sunny and balmy most of the year throught India. New Zealand attracts travel motorcyclists in truckloads. Tap into these as well.

You can always tap into the image of Bullett. Now they come with 5-speed gearbox and Royal enfield company will be more than pleased to market your ideas as well. Also, they will also supply Bulls for a less initial cost.

Think about joint development of tourist resourses. They cannot be developed overnight ! joint-development can be done much more easily and it is more practical for short term goals.

Am I a part of this dream team?

Congrats on this effort. I guess the traveller in you has brought out this idea.

Hey Hi...I am Ashish, a graduate of the Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) of the last batch...I read about your Gram Vihaar concept and have become impressed by it...I have also been passionate about this concept and have been working on it from the last 2 years...I am currently working with the Department of Tourism, Govt. of Kerala as a consultant for Rural Tourism...I have been working on some model that shall really be based community participation and ownership, at the same time be profit-making and scalable...I really dont know, but a vague idea struck me now...If we could come together, make some good model and take it forward in a big way...Being with IRMA, i have developed a good understanding of the community dynamics and rural realities...Let me know if something of this type could be possible...I would be happy to join hands with you to promote rural tourism in India in a big way...Look forward to your reply...
Regards,
Ashish!
